How this website handles inquiry data, browser local storage and your rights.
This page is a general website template for this static prototype site. It describes how the site is intended to handle information, is not legal advice and should be reviewed before the site goes live.
Scope
This policy covers this website and the inquiry and contact forms on it. It does not cover third-party websites we link to. The site is operated by Zhexing Precision Bearing (formerly Cixi Chuangwei Bearing Co., Ltd.).
Data we collect
When you send an inquiry, the form asks for:
- Name, company and country
- Email address and telephone or messaging number
- Bearing model, quantity and technical requirements
- Photos or drawings you choose to upload
We also receive the message you write. If you only browse the site without submitting a form, we do not receive your details through it. Please do not upload drawings you are not permitted to share.
Why we use it
We use inquiry data to answer your question, prepare a quotation, assess a drawing, arrange samples and, if an order follows, produce and ship it. We may contact you again about the same request. We do not sell data or use it for unrelated marketing.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Two items are stored in your browser using localStorage:
- An inquiry list, so the models you select stay available as you move between pages. It stays on your device and is sent only when you submit the form.
- A language preference (en or zh), so the site opens in the language you chose last.
You can clear both in your browser settings; the inquiry list will then start empty. Clearing local storage does not affect an inquiry you have already submitted.
Sharing and retention
Inquiries arrive by email and may be entered into our customer relationship system. Our email and CRM service providers process this data on our behalf, and we do not share it with anyone else. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We keep inquiry data for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting business relationship, then delete or archive it under our record-keeping obligations. Uploaded drawings are kept only while needed for quotation, tooling or production.
Data security
Access to inquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to answer your request, and email and CRM accounts are protected by access controls. When you send drawings, use the upload form on this site where you can, rather than unencrypted third-party channels.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer have a legal basis to keep it. You may also ask us to stop contacting you about an inquiry. To protect your data, we may verify your identity before acting on a request.
